The entire procedure took about five hours. I opted for local anesthesia. This meant that I was conscious throughout the procedure, I was able to communicate but was completely pain-free.

Immediately after the procedure, I still felt the anesthetic, I felt no pain and was given a cooling mask straight away. I also had it available in my room at all times. And it was extremely helpful. The healing process started on the very first evening. I was able to talk normally again straight away. I had hardly any swelling, as you can see now. It’s been like this since the first day and I have no other pain either. The next morning, I already noticed that my vision had improved considerably.

My visual acuity increased immediately. Initially, I came here because of severe back problems, and I already noticed the first change the same evening of the operation, and then especially the day after. There is a very broad range of therapies on offer here that support the healing process. They range from light therapy to various infusions, magnetic field therapy, cold chambers and so on. I can agree to or refuse any of these therapies at any time. There is a lot of room for individuality, which I really appreciate. I can have a break at any time, I can eat eat, drink and use the bathroom at any time. I can also go to the café and have a really good time there.

The staff here are very well trained, all very, very nice, very understanding and very helpful. I really am in the best hands. It’s already my second day here. It’s also my second-to-last day, and I’m still enjoying the therapies but already feeling very good. I could already go back to work and am very happy that I have already noticed the first positive changes. Of course I’m really looking forward to seeing how things develop over the coming weeks and months. I can highly recommend the procedure to all those people who have complaints and are not sure of their cause.
